Dual
EPAD® Precision High Slew Rate CMOS Operational Amplifier
Sunnyvale,
CA., -- November 1, 2002 Advanced Linear Devices, Inc., announces
a new, high slew-rate Dual Precision CMOS Operational amplifier. Designated
the ALD2724E/ALD2724, this device is a high precision version of the ALD1704
Operational Amplifier, which is designed to offer an alternative to the
popular JFET input operational amplifiers with improved specifications
and added features. The ALD2724E permits optional user-programmable offset
voltage trimming using the patented "EPAD®" (Electrically Programmable
Analog Device) technology. The ALD2724, which is pre-programmed at the
factory under standard operating conditions for minimum Vos, is intended
for standard operational amplifier applications where little or no electrical
programming by the user is necessary. These op-amps are ideally suited
for applications in portable instruments, sensor pre-amplifiers, transducer
biasing, and precision gain circuits where mechanical potentiometer trimming
is not a viable alternative.
Standard
offset voltage specifications for the ALD2724E/ALD2724 are typically
25mV at 0.01 pA input bias current. The ALD2724E has a guaranteed input
offset programming range of +/- 5 mV and is recommended for applications
requiring electrical user-programming for further Vos trimming using
an ALD E100 EPAD Programming Unit and Adapter Module.
Both devices
feature rail-to-rail input and output voltage ranges, tolerance to over-voltage
input of 300mV beyond supply rails, +/- 5 V supply operation, high capacitive
loading up to 4000pF, extremely low input currents of 0.01pA typical,
high open loop voltage gain, 2.1MHz bandwidth, slew rate of 5 V/ms,
and supply current of 5.0 mA. Also featured is fully static internal
circuitry and DC operating device architecture, with no internal running
clock that may occasionally cause cross-talk interference.
The ALD2724E/ALD2724
are priced at $1.83/ $1.46 respectively in 1k piece quantities with
delivery available from stock. These devices are available in 14 pin
PDIP, SOIC, and ceramic DIP packages. These devices are also available
as standard cells for mixed Analog/Digital ASIC Arrays. For more information,
